Nocrastinate – Privacy Policy

Modern Apps Ltd built the Nocrastinate app. All personal data you input—tasks, events, reminders, and streaks—is stored locally on your device. Modern Apps Ltd does not collect or transfer personal data unless you opt in to optional services.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following optional third-party services:

Firebase Crashlytics (Opt-In Stability and Usage Monitoring)
Firebase Crashlytics data collection is entirely optional. We will only begin collecting data for this service if you choose to enable it when asked on app launch or from within the app’s settings.

If enabled, Crashlytics collects data to diagnose and fix bugs and analyze app stability and usage (Analytics). This data may include crash logs, unique device identifiers, app interactions, and approximate geographic data (derived from your IP address).

You can change your analytics preference at any time from the app’s settings.

Google Calendar Sync (Optional)

Nocrastinate allows users to optionally connect their Google account using the Google Calendar API with the calendar.readonly permission.

Data Accessed

When enabled, the app may access:

  • A list of calendars you own or have access to
  • Event data from selected calendars, including event titles, dates, times, and related metadata

You will be prompted to choose which calendars you want to sync. Only events from the calendars you select are imported into the app.

Data Usage

Google Calendar data is used solely to display events inside the Nocrastinate app calendar for personal scheduling and planning..

Selected calendars are synced on an ongoing basis while Google Calendar sync is enabled, allowing events to stay up to date over time.

The sync is one-way only:

  • Events are copied from Google Calendar into the app
  • Changes or deletions made in Nocrastinate do not affect Google Calendar

The data is:

  • Not used for advertising
  • Not used for analytics or profiling
  • Not combined with other data sources

Data Storage & Protection

All Google Calendar data is:

  • Stored locally on your device
  • Never transmitted to or stored on Modern Apps Ltd servers
  • Protected by your device’s operating system security measures

Modern Apps Ltd does not retain or have access to your Google Calendar data.

Data Sharing

Google Calendar data is not shared with any third parties.

Modern Apps Ltd does not sell, rent, or disclose Google user data.

Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over synced calendar data:

  • You can unsync individual calendars at any time
    • When doing so, you will be asked whether to keep or delete the locally stored events from those calendars
  • You can disconnect Google Calendar entirely, which triggers the same option to keep or delete all synced events
  • You can manually delete individual events from within the app at any time

Deleting events in Nocrastinate does not delete them from Google Calendar.

Because the data is stored locally, Modern Apps Ltd cannot access or retain it after removal.

App Store and Google Play Data

These platforms may collect analytics and crash data. Modern Apps Ltd does not control this collection.

Consent for Crash Reporting

Enabling Firebase Crashlytics is optional. By enabling it, you agree to the collection and use of crash data and analytics as described above.

User Information

All user data is stored locally unless optional services are enabled.

Security

We rely on third-party providers like Firebase Crashlytics for optional functionality. They use standard security practices, but we cannot guarantee security for third-party-managed data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be posted here.

Effective Date

This policy is effective as of 9th January 2026.
